A design space exploration method of reconfigurable motion compensation (RMC) architecture adapted to multi-standard video coding is provided herein. First, a predetermined application specification is set. Next, at least one community is extracted among a plurality of motion compensation (MC) algorithms respectively corresponding to a plurality of video compress standards, and number of operation of each MC algorithm is analyzed in a worst case based on the community for determining number of operation in a processing element (PE).
