In this paper, the root cluster determination of an interval system is considered, where a non-linear relationship is allowed between the coefficients of a closed-loop characteristic polynomial and its physical parameters. A procedure to check the D-stability of an interval system is also proposed. Using the proposed procedures, the check of infinite polynomial family and inaccuracy due to grid selection can be avoided. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the usefulness of the proposed results.
