Abstract
Free standing hexagonal hollow copper-tin tube arrays are formed by direct cathodic electrolysis in the 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium dicyanamide ionic liquid containing Cu(i) and Sn(ii) without using a template at 313 K.
