Distributed uplink power control with local measurements for multimedia CDMA cellular systems

Abstract

In this paper, a fully distributed power control algorithm for multimedia CDMA cellular systems is proposed. The proposed power control scheme only requires the local measurements at the base station and can meet different signal-to-interference (SIR) requirements of mobile users based on the principle of fairness. From the simulation results, the proposed scheme can not only converge quickly, but can also keep the transmitted power within a reasonable range.
