Abstract

There are four distinct passing bands in an infinite straight truss beam. The induced wavemodes into the two perpendicular branches of an L-type truss beam for an incident wave encountering the conjunction substructure of these two branches can be predicated by using these passing bands. A dissimilar cell located at the up side of conjunction substructure have been demonstrated to be able to effectively reduce the power transmission of bending wave and disturbances in the L-type truss beam.
