Abstract
In this work, the dependence of amount of the fluxes (H3BO3 and BaF2) on the luminescence of Y2.95Al5O12:0.05Ce3+ phosphors and their application to white light-emitting diodes were investigated. The difference in luminescent properties of phosphor prepared with fluxes was well explained by the powder morphology. The luminous efficiency of the BaF2 flux-based WLED was about 10-13% higher than H3BO3 flux-based and commercial YAG.Ce-based WLEDs.
