Effects of porosity on dielectric properties of batiO3 ceramics

Abstract

We investigate the porosity dependence of the ferroelectric domain density and the internal stress of finegrained (˜μm) BaTiO3 ceramics using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray diffractometry (XRD). The ferroelectric domain density and the internal stress exerted by the neighboring grains of the finegrained BaTiO3 were examined to elucidate the effect of porosity on the dielectric properties of BaTiCO3 ceramics.
