This paper references the multilevel inverter topology developed by the graduates of the laboratory to achieve AC-DC energy conversion without increasing or decreasing components. Using TMS320F28035 digital signal processor (DSP), which is produced by TI, to control switch and realizes bidirectional multilevel inverter. In this paper, the average current method is added to realize power factor correction (PFC). Changing the duty cycle of the pulse width modulation (PWM) to let the input current follow the input voltage. This control makes the phase of input voltage and current equality. A bidirectional multilevel inverter with AC input voltage of 220 Vrms and DC output voltage of 400 V is simulated and developed. The output power is 2 kW. Full load efficiency is 92.72%, the maximum efficiency in 1.6 kW load is 93.53%. The maximum power factor is 0.98. Finally, the AC-DC power conversion proposed in this paper is verified.
