Abstract
The electric field emission properties of multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWNT) were measured at various temperatures. The pulsed laser-heating effect of the nanotubes was also studied. The field emission properties of the MWNTs were enhanced by increasing the substrate temperature and by irradiating pulsed laser. The maximum current density increased to 700 μA/cm2 when laser pulses were applied.
