Enhancement the color-gamut of displays using tantalate based and aluminate-based CCFL phosphors

Abstract

Development of CCFL green phosphors with high stability, efficiency, color purity and color gamut which can be well applied to lighting and display. The La0.95Tb0.05TaO4 and Ce0.67Tb 0.33Mg0.88Mn0.12Al11O19 exhibits 78% and 105% of the standard NTSC color gamut, respectively. Results indicate they can be applied in illumination devices and displays.
