Abstract

This paper presents the novel design issues of energy conservation for green buildings using daylighting approach. The energy-conservation scheme on power system in green buildings has been an important research point in recent years. For the power system in a building, most of the power losses are from lights, motors and air conditioners. This paper proposes a design method on the light system to reduce power losses of the power system in a green building. Based on available illumination, the required supplementary artificial lighting is calculated and evaluated to satisfy the given lighting requirements.
