Abstract

This paper presents a membership function translation approach to investigate the effects of different fuzzy operators for fuzzy inference. The approach is a two-step translation procedure which translates the difference of operators into that of membership functions of rule premises by preserving defuzzy result unchanged. The first translation step evaluates the effects of operators used in composition operation. On the other hand, the second step evaluates the operators used in implication operation.
