Abstract

The object of our study will focus on the fabrication development for the micro film-cooled thermal chip. This thermal chip will have 50 temperature sensors, with high accuracy, starting from the exit of the slot nozzle to measure the film cooling effectiveness. In order to provide better thermal insulation, low thermal conductivity materials were selected to fabricate the slot and the film-cooled wall. Therefore, the heater on the wall can provide a perfect uniform heating condition. The height of slot can be varied at different depths. This can be used to study film cooling performance of micro wall jet at different thickness. To our knowledge, this kind of micro film-cooling performance study has not been found in the literature. The results will have a very significant impact on the gas turbine cooling design.
