Abstract

A novel magnetic luminescent nanocomposite has been fabricated by the adsorption of Cd^II ions on the sulfonated Fe₃O₄ nanoparticles and the subsequent precipitation with sodium sulfide. The adsorption isotherm of Cd^II ions on the sulfonated Fe ₃O₄ nanoparticles was investigated, and the product was characterized by TEM, HRTEM, EDX, XRD, UV-vis, and PL.
