Abstract

We fabricated a low-cost and flexible capacitive tactile sensor sheet. The sensor sheet consists of a silicone rubber with conductive surface as a movable electrode and fixed electrodes formed on a poly ethylene terephthalate (PET) film with silver paste. We developed the sensor sheet using screen-printing techniques. 10 x 8 elements of the force sensing elements are fabricated in array form on the sensor sheet. On each force sensing elements, the linear output can be detected in the range of 5N. The sensor sheet can be applicable for future multi-functional health care and welfare tools.
