'Further results on invariant properties of the stress in plane elasticity and its extension to piezoelectricity'

Abstract

In an earlier study, Chearkaev et al., extended the stress invariant theorem for a two-dimensional elastic medium to plane piezoelectricity. Particularly, they showed that when the moduli are shifted, the stress and electric displacement remain unchanged. The work reported here demonstrates that this equation can be written in a more general form.
