Abstract
Gasification has been considered as a potential method that is beneficial in the treatment of pighair wastes. Derived kinetic parameters obtained from the thermogravimetry experiments for partial oxidation of pighairs were served as the basis for the scale-up of this technology, which is also refined with simulation calculations. In addition to the generation of hydrogen and CO (>90%, dry basis), thermal energy may be recovered from the gasification process. The cold gas efficiency of the pighairs gasification is 79-81%.
