Global purchasing practices for dried mullet roe processors

Abstract

This study uses Fuzzy Delphi Method (FDM) and Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) to explore the significant criteria of selecting raw material supplier for the dried mullet roe processors in Taiwan, and further demonstrate that the difference between highly standardized industrial products and processed fishery products in supplier selection. Price and quality are ranked the highest priority, but ability to meet delivery due dates and time to market which are critical indicators in other research are found to be insignificant in this study.
