Abstract

In this paper, a novel algorithm is presented for heart rate extraction under multi-target environments using a single antenna pair. A grey wolf optimization (GWO) algorithm is utilized to estimate the frequency component of breathing as well as breathing harmonics to reconstruct the heartbeat signals. Then, empirical mode decomposition is introduced to cancel the frequency components of respiration and clutters by selecting an intrinsic mode function. While measuring the two people case, there are error rates of 4.92% and 3.11% respectively.
