N2 - Hidden Lion is a Location Based Service (LBS) with an APP game to promote the sword lion culture in Anping, Taiwan. We combine elements of geocaching, cultural tourism, and arcade-style gameplay in Hidden Lion. Players wander in Anping to find the sword lions, and when they find one, they are directed to an interactive game and learn the background story of the particular sword lion as well as connections to local cultural organizations. Furthermore, Hidden Lion is a service system that integrates the public sector of Anping district office, the commercial sector of local business association, and the cultural sector of Sword Lion School. Hidden Lion demonstrates a service framework of city and cultural tourism that is enabled by multi-touch, sensing and geo-location technologies through gaming and gameplay. The service framework may be applicable beyond cultural tourism to onsite learning as well.
