Abstract

A novel polymer thin film coating process, bar-coating, was developed for the fabrication of PLED and other polymeric electronic devices. Large-area polymer thin films with high uniformity were demonstrated. High-performance PLEDs were also produced with performances comparable to PLEDs produced by a spin-coating process. The experimental results suggest that bar coating holds great potential for applications to large-area polymer photonic and electronic devices.
