Abstract
By analyzing the pressure effects on the resistivity (ρ) of some high temperature superconductors, we have found a strong corelation between the normal state ρ and the superconducting transition temperature (Tc). Experimental data show that when pressure reduces the normal state ρ, Tc increases; when pressure enhances ρ, Tc decreases. Our experimental data can be explained in terms of the parabolic Tc-n (carrier concentration) function, suggesting that the pressure-induced variation of p arises from the change in n.
