In hyperthermia, the temperature of a tumor is raised by laser irradiation or other physical means. The aim of this article is to propose a useful numerical scheme to achieve temperature distributions for hyperthermia treatments when living tissue is subjected to a constant or exponential surface heating. The effect of the variations such as the relaxation time, perfusion rate of blood, and thermal conductivity upon thermal behavior was investigated. The results show the proposed differential transformation method can be used to solve the hyperbolic heat conduction problems accurately, and predict the temperature distribution in sphere coordinate for hyperthermia treatment well.
