Abstract

This paper presents an integrated single-inductor dual-output (SIDO) buck-boost or boost-boost with powerdistributive (PD) control. The proposed converter adopts voltage-mode control to achieve better noise immunity. Only one signal loop contains a compensation circuit, which reduces cost and makes the converter suitable for SoC applications. The proposed SIDO converter was fabricated in TSMC 0.18μm 1P6M 3.3V CMOS process with supply voltage 1.6V to 3.3V. The first output in the proposed converter can operate in either buck or boost mode according to the supply voltage while the other one operates in boost mode.
