Abstract

An experimental study in the DIII-D tokamak was carried out to account for off-axis electron cyclotron current drive (ECCD) in negative central shear (NCS) plasmas. It was found that the behavior of internal kink modes in DIII-D tokamaks is explained by the wave-particle interaction with suprathermal electrons.
