N2 - IPv6 stateless address autoconfiguration which automate the address configuration for each interface is one of the most important features in IPv6. However, there are two main disadvantages. One is that the changeless IPv6 address is generated and this is a potential security threat for IPv6 hosts. The behavior of a host is easily collected and even the movement of a road warrior can be tracked by eavesdroppers. The other is lack of manageability. Privacy extension for IPv6 stateless address autoconfiguration is one of the proposed approaches to solve the problem by changing the IPv6 address at a regular interval. However, it results in the IPv6 address renumbering problem. The existing connections are disconnected because upper layer protocols are not aware of the change of IPv6 address. In this paper, Intra-NAT is proposed to consider both security and address renumbering problem at the same time. Moreover, the proposed approach supports the manageability for IPv6 stateless address autoconfiguration.
