Abstract

Lattice Boltzmann schemes were used to solve the mixed convection problem of Al2O3/water nanofluid in a vertical channel. The influences of volume concentration of nanoparticles, Rayleigh number, and Richardson number on the convective heat transfer phenomena were discussed. The effects of a rectangle cavity inside the vertical channel were investigated. The hydrodynamic and thermal lattice Boltzmann equations with an external forcing term Fα were calculated on the D2Q9 ad D2Q4 lattice models.
