Abstract

A new pentanortriterpenoid, 1‐O‐methylclausenolide (1) and a known limonoid, zapoterin (4) were isolated from the stem bark of Clausena excavata (Rutaceae). Their structures were elucidated by spectral analysis and chemical transformation.
