Abstract

Light-weight hyper-elastic membrane with flexible carbon rods were designed and fabricated as wings for a flapping wing micro air vehicle(FW-MAV) which could improve itsmaneuverability, aerodynamic lift and acoustic performance. The aerodynamic and acoustic performance of these wings were explored for achieving a low noise wing design.
