Magnetic and magnetotransport properties in epitaxial FeMn/Py/Cu/Py spin-valve films

Abstract

A study was conducted focusing on the exchange biasing and giant magnetoresistance (GMR) effects of [FeMn(60 angstrom)/Py(60 angstrom)/Cu(30 angstrom)/Py(50 angstrom)] (Py = Ni80Fe20) films prepared by molecular beam epitaxy (MBE). In particular, the magnetic and magneto-transport properties of the spin-valve (SV) films were correlated with the crystal orientation and growth temperature.
