Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic structure and a photoelectric device. SOLUTION: A metallic structure is for filtering and polarizing an electromagnetic wave and includes a translucent medium, a first metallic block, and a second metallic block. The fist and second metallic blocks are located in or on the translucent medium and are positioned substantially in parallel with each other with a predetermined distance (d) in between. Passing electromagnetic waves through the metallic structure produces distribution curves of transmittance versus wavelength. Each distribution curve of transmittance versus wavelength has at least one transmittance peak value (Peak) corresponding to at least one wavelength on a one-on-one basis, and a predetermined distance (d) and an average width (w) of the first metallic block satisfy the following relationship: d
