Abstract
A multitasking digital relay algorithm based on the designed real-time multitasking scheduler (RMS) is proposed to protect and monitor distribution feeders. It is implemented on an 8-bit microcomputer and tested with the mimic panel which simulates the Taiwan 80 4W 11. 4 KV distribution feeders. Testing results are reported and discussed, which show that the algorithm is suitable for use in the future automated distribution system.
