Abstract

In recent years, energy issues have become topical subjects, and many research institutes have engaged in relevant research. This study applied Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring (NILM) technology to high power equipment measured with NILM meter in a circuit plant. It analyzes the voltage and current data, so as to distinguish the working state of equipment for fault detection. The proposed design aims to provide the users warning on electric equipment fault, thus helping the users to repair, renew and eliminate the electric equipment for energy efficiency. This study takes air conditioners as an example to prove the designs about electric equipment faults. And this active diagnostics will be used for smart buildings and manufacturing industry.
