Abstract

Experimental indentation testing results, along with the finite element method, were used to calculate the compressive material properties of the supraspinatus tendon. The effects of acromional impingement were analyzed. Impingement of the supraspinatus tendon in vivo was found to occur in the region near the lateral edge of the model.
