Abstract
The nonstoichiometry, crystal defects and electron transport properties of ceramic samples of MgB2 were analyzed by x-ray powder diffraction. The properties were found to be influenced by the microstrain of the material, which itself was dominated by oxygen-related defects. A correlation between the composition Mg:B and the lattice parameters were also observed.
