Novel quadratic tracker and observer for the equivalent model of the sampled-data linear singular system

Abstract

This paper offers a novel quadratic tracker and observer for the equivalent model of the sampled-data linear singular system. First, some existing techniques are utilized to convert the linear singular system into an equivalent regular model containing a direct transmission term from input to output. Then we propose a novel quadratic suboptimal tracker for this equivalent regular model by discretizing the linear analogue quadratic performance index into an equivalent discrete one directly. Further, we develop the novel analog and digital observers for the equivalent regular model, respectively, as the state of this equivalent regular model is immeasurable. An illustrative example demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed design.
