Abstract

Two kinds of block copolymers, acetal-poly(ethylene glycol)/poly[2-N,N-dimethylamino) ethyl methacrylate] (acetal-PEG/PAMA) and acetal-PEG/poly(ethylene imine) (acetal-PEG/PEI) were synthesized via a heterotelechelic PEG macroinitiator technique. The synthesis of these copolymers constitute a novel way of constructing reactive polyion complex (PIC) micelles with an aldehyde functionality on their outer layer.
