Abstract

A new volume agglomeration scheme is developed to obtain better-quality coarse meshes. The octree-based agglomeration scheme generates high-quality coarse cells with minimum effort. The proposed agglomeration multigrid method converges about three to five times faster than the single-grid computation in terms of CPU time.
