Abstract
In this paper, the design problem of an interval system is considered. An algorithm for checking the zero inclusion condition and a procedure for searching the robust root locations are proposed. These can reduce the computational burden and avoid overestimated problems when determining the root locations of the interval system. Using the proposed algorithm and the searching technique, a design procedure for the interval system is presented. Numerical examples have also been given to illustrate the effectiveness of this design procedure.
