Abstract

The Na2 61Σ+g state has been observed from v = 0 to v = 39 by using optical-optical double resonance spectroscopy and an ultrasensitive ionization detector. The molecular constants and the Rydberg-Klein-Rees (RKR) potential energy curve are presented in this paper. Eigenvalues calculated from the ab initio potential [S. Magnier et al., J. Chem. Phys.98, 7113-7125 (1993)] are also discussed.
