Abstract

The authors investigated the introduction of an optically active dimer as a component in polymer systems in anticipation of the accumulation effect of this component for a secondary structure. This communication reports the synthesis of a new type of optically active polyamides and their optical rotational behaviors in relation to their conformations and basic polymer frameworks.
