N2 - This paper explores the outlier detection technique to account for interference and blockage of radio signals in a received signal strength (RSS) based indoor wireless sensor network (WSN) localization system. An outlier is the abnormal data or observation in comparison with other data in the dataset. In the real world applications, outliers which are almost unavoidable may affect the integrity, reliability, and performance of the system. The paper proposes a new outlier detection technique to mitigate the influence of outliers in the localization of wireless sensor networks.
