Abstract

This study's examination of the interactions between user behavior, information systems, and technology makes it compatible with the "User behavior, engagement, and consequences" track. It investigates the design and the implications of user involvement in digital platforms with a focus on incentive schemes, reward systems, and personalized experiences within gamified daily chore apps. In addition to addressing concerns about the effectiveness of gamification tactics and the fallout from altering user behavior, the research offers beneficial perspectives into how various mechanisms for reward affect user perceptions, engagement, and loyalty.
