Abstract

Short optical feedback is proposed to optically stabilize microwave generation using optically injected semiconductor lasers at period-one nonlinear dynamics. While the microwave linewidth reduces considerably by up to at least 2 orders of magnitude, the microwave frequency enhances significantly by up to at least a factor of 3.
