Pixel circuit design with simplified 2T1C structure using compensating architecture for AMOLED

Abstract

This work proposes a novel system that integrates a simplified 2T1C pixel structure and external compensating circuit to ameliorate VTH variations and OLED degradation. The proposed system effectively detects aging characteristics by comparing pixel current with reference current through the external compensating circuit. The simulation results indicate that the proposed system effectively stabilizes pixel current and maintain brightness uniformity.
