Abstract
Conventionally, the Eulerian-Lagrangian schemes are applied to modelling two-phase flows. The Eulerian-Eulerian schemes have their own advantages to model non-dilute two-phase flows and are used in this study. A computer model of two-phase turbulent jet has been developed. Two cases, monodispersed flow and polyispersed flow, were tested by using the computer model. Comparison results show that there are significant discrepancies between the model predictions and measurements. It is then suggested that more model validation work are required. Furthermore, more well-defined benchmark quality data base relative to two-phase turbulent flows are also required before performing model validation work.
