Abstract

We present a case of amniotic band syndrome diagnosed postnatally, in which prenatal sonography revealed a complex fetal anomaly. The pregnancy was terminated at 24 weeks' gestation. Sonographic findings are compared with postnatal gross appearance. Sonographers confronted with such characteristically confusing sonographic findings should suspect amniotic band syndrome and undertake further examination in order to facilitate appropriate genetic counseling.
