Raman spectroscopy of YSr2Cu3O7+δ

The Raman spectra of superconducting YSr2Cu3O7.7 (Tc = 60 K) prepared under high pressure in the excess of oxygen, are reported and discussed. The spectra are much richer than those of YBa2Cu3O7-δ which is due to the lower symmetry of atomic sites of the basal plane, as well as to the replacement of part of copper square groups on the Cu1-O chains by carbonate (CO3) groups.
