Abstract

An electric field sensor was integrated by combining reflective type LiNbO3 Mach-Zehnder modulator and segmented modulator electrode. The frequency response is flat from 750 MHz to 6 GHz. The average minimum detectable electric field strength is about 10 mV/m. The size of the fabricated sensor is microminiaturized as small as 45 × 3 × 0.5 mm3.
