Abstract

The objective of this paper is to provide a way of viewing design knowledge imbedded in the design workflow. By reviewing known design projects, we have observed common occurrences of design patterns in different stages of parametric façade design workflow. We demonstrate the application of parametric design patterns in practices as preliminary studies of forming a pattern language of parametric design.
